IN-PERSON CLASS-STARTS

October 19, 2024

Sherry's Med Class can provide a great stepping stone in your career to becoming a medication aide. Certified medication aides can provide medications in nursing homes, assisted living centers, intermediate care facilities for persons with developmental disabilities, child care settings, and patients’ homes.

A certified medication aide is trained to work under the direct supervision of a caretaker or licensed healthcare professional. Medication aides provide routine medication by oral, inhalation, topical, and installation routes when appropriate direction and monitoring are provided.

As a medication aide, you can learn so much about medications and residents. This will help you achieve your future goals, whether it is in healthcare or another career path. As you look through our class catalog, we hope you find the certified medication aide program that meets your needs. Please note that our 40-hour classes are offered in the evening and daytime hours.

More information on medication aides can be found at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services website at http://dhhs.ne.gov/Pages/default.aspx
